Science Fiction fans gathered in downtown Atlanta this morning for the opening of Dragon*Con. Dragon*Con bills itself as “the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the US.”
After seeing the opening parade this morning, I have to agree. It lasted just under an hour, but covered thousands of Science Fiction years, spanning galaxies and genres, marching heroes and villains alike side-by-side. I posted several pictures on Flickr.
